Please email if you have trouble playing tunes.

Another exceptional night in Japan … 1st set has lots of goodies from some cool Improv to a Bass’n’Drums breakdown to another performance of the new tune Miyagawa … and here’s what I posted about that tune before:

  • “Miyagawa?”

I can’t remember where that name came from now … I think it circulated in the original textfile. It was played 1/23+24, and then again on 5/21/2004 but I never stumbled upon it again … and each one of these versions are fairly unique and exploratory in some sense:

1/23 – this is an acoustic take on the melody

1/24 – full out drum solo intro, then a build and toying with the tune until the melody emerges later on in this 10min version

5/21 – this is about 4min long and more just the melody and precedes a C-Jam Blues after coming out of a set opening Bass Solo > Sasa

… at least that’s what I recall discovering about the tune.

… and I love the 2nd set to this show … “Bounce Bitch” being another rarity …

enjoy the grooves,
