LISTEN/DOWNLOAD ANOTHER SHOW!
My favorite part is 3 minutes and 17 seconds into the drum solo. I like saying “get” on each instance where Billy Martin plays the kick drum pedal and hi-hat pedal simultaneously.
I attended this show as a Freshman at Loyola University. A young, local band named Galactic opened the show and their set was excellent. They, of course, went on to be big on the jamband scene.
The club was PACKED and I was about 1/3 back center on the floor. The emcee introduced the band and the band’s parents who were up in balcony booth to the right of the stage. What followed was – to this day – the very best club show I’ve ever seen. The band kept the energy up for two hours and never let up. We were unfamiliar with the songs from ‘Shack Man’ as it would not be released until the following month. I do remember loving what I was hearing, particularly ITAHTJMJ and Dracula. I appreciate you making the recording available.
