– ONE SET (tracks 1-11) –
– SHACK THOUGHTS –
The entire opening sequence of Start/Stop > Fast Clicks > Disrobe > Open Improv > Bass Solo > Think is fantastic ’97 goodness! Again, I really dig hearing Start/Stop from its infancy through its growth and Fast Clicks is a weirdly wacky tune that would be wonderful to hear again — it’s a HEAVY groove. And the Open Improv/Intro leading > Night Marchers is cool too … in what I think as an evening set. And nice that Hip Chops is holding the band’s interest by showing up in the encore slot, having just appeared this tour. Interesting the band had two gigs on this day …
enjoy the grooves,

THE SHACK STREAM
LISTEN/DOWNLOAD ANOTHER SHOW!
The source for this show and the Ash Grove the night before are, in fact, AKG 414 mics (likely on cardioid setting). My friend Rob Boyle recorded both these shows. However he didn’t use the Sonosax pre-amp at that point. He had them plugged directly into a Fostex D-5 (yes the big pro studio machine). He was able to get direct power at both shows. I believe they were some of the first shows he had ever taped.
Later as some of us other friends bought equipment that we shared we ran the 414s through the Sonosax (and then>Sony SBM-1) into the HHB-1 Pro.
