– SHACK THOUGHTS –
Love the Improv that kicks off the more proper first MMW gig of 2002 … this is one of the rare trio ONLY gigs from April ’02 so I say grab it for a taste of that, but the guys are just digging in on a lot of these tunes in a hard way I find … as I listen through these gigs right now it seems they are VERY tight and just all over the songs they’re playing … Lifeblood was great to see surface during this time period and the guys play the hell out of it all tour, and this version is no exception — in fact, it looks like this might be the first Lifeblood since 10/9/1998! … ditto for Night Marchers regarding the guys playing the hell out it …

Unfortunately, the following night’s gig, 4/7/2002 @ Three Rivers Music Festival, Columbia, SC:

… does not circulate …

enjoy the grooves,
dug
