Ahhh, Vancouver … nice place! I’ve had the pleasure a couple times, but not when MMW were in town …

I’m not sure if it was me, or somebody else, but I did have a note in my text wondering if the Improv after Pappy Check was actually Off the Table, but I don’t think it is now … just improvisation — and VERY cool that leads into a wonderfully slow intro to Lifeblood … Set II has plenty of playful aspects too with the Piano Intro to Tubby, the Bass’n’Drums Outro to Think, and the Drums’n’DJ out of Shacklyn Knights that resolves to a Bass Solo taking us into a Bemsha/Lively medley — that’s pretty sweet stuff! Moti Mo encore is always a welcome send off … note: my tags file Moti Mo after the end of Set II, but the file names are labelled by disc number, and Moti Mo was a filler on D1.
