And this gig begins the run through seeds from 2006, and that Improv that starts this show is great sign of some more cool improvisation to come throughout the year … the opening of this show is SUPER strong … and hearing some of the eventual Out Louder tunes without Sco is an interesting mix … this setlist is quite a different sight than we might see these days, or were seeing a year before this … while it’s also certainly a growth out of the Fall 2005, I just love Egbe Mi O, and the pulse and build of tension and release in Exploration …

Also of note is that this gig, I believe, marks the first known performances of Hanuman and Tequila & Chocolate … Tootie Ma had surfaced in the Fall of ’05 and Exploration first popped up just over a month before this on 12/09/2005, I think (and was used wonderfully on NYE in Japan!) …
