– SHACK THOUGHTS – 10 YEARS AGO TODAY
So, I noticed that these performances of Shackman at the start of 2006 all seem to find John milking a wee Organ solo/intro to begin performance — VERY cool! Love hearing him go off for however long a time … again, the setlist has a mix of where 2005 ended and throwing in Tequila & Chocolate (Tootie Ma was played in fall ’05) … and then we’ve got Exploration still strong in the mix, and that Bluesy Improv near the end of Set II is a nice surprise at that point in the show … and oh, love seeing The Letter still lingering around, and Nocturne sticking around too after resurfacing in fall ’05 — I love these ’06-’07 performances of Nocturne as I find the guys just seem to have such control over it and the way they toy with it seems almost better than back in ’98! Yep, I REALLY dig Nocturne around this time …

enjoy the grooves,
dug
